Co Creation music track

So for one of our out comes we are going to make an piece of music that has been created by completely unrelated musicians, this will be done in a layered style by starting with the drummer putting down the drum track and then adding the other instruments one at a time.
The drum track will be recorded using an electronic drum kick.
The Yamaha DT explorer (drum kit) creates an electronic signal that is then interpreted into a note; the note is then assigned a sound. This Technology is MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) for more info on MIDI just type MIDI into Wikipedia.
